On Tuesday, December 20 2016, TimelProekt organized the closing event that marked the successful completion of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Industrial Management Project (IMP). This four-year project was implemented by TimelProekt as a main Contractor.
Тhe USAID Industrial Management Project, through introduction of a systematic and continuous energy management approach, assisted the private industry to improve competitiveness and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by reducing energy consumption and cost. With the installation of modern energy management systems, 17 industrial companies are now able to monitor energy usage and make strategic decisions about energy efficiency upgrades.
On a national scale, these systems help reduce exposure to volatile energy prices and contribute to energy security by reducing dependence on imported energy sources.
The project also helped local manufacturing companies develop bankable energy efficiency upgrade projects; strengthened the capacity of local engineering companies in design, installation, and maintenance of energy management systems; and conducted workshops on ISO 50001:2011 international energy management standard and energy efficiency best practices for industrial companies.
Representatives from USAID, the business community, government institutions, and international organizations participated at the closing event.
